The brothers arrived in Romania in 1991, shortly after the fall of Communism,at the request of Archbishop Ioan Robu. From 1991 to 1995, they settled in a Bucharest parish, focusing on spiritual guidance, conferences, and teaching at the Theology Faculty. In 1995, they began building the Holy Family Monastery in northern Bucharest, which opened to the public in 1997, and its chapel was consecrated in 1999.

The monastery, a spiritual center for youth and families, offers daily Mass, adoration, retreats, and vocational discernment weekends. The brothers also engage in educational, cultural, and charitable activities, organizing hiking trips, offering meals to the needy, and hosting refugees.

The brothers are also active in the parish life, and provide sacraments and guidance to some religious and lay communities, while emphasizing hospitality as a core mission.
